Below are the campaign disclosure reports each member of the Dream Team has filed so far (click on the date to download the pdf document). Tarece Johnson didn’t apply to accept donations until 2/24/20, so she has fewer reports than the other two. She loaned herself money on 2/1/20 before she had filed the necessary paperwork.
Something a little curious about the loans. Each member of the Dream Team made a personal loan to their own campaign, in odd amounts and all on the same day – February 1, 2020. Here are the loan totals:
Tanisha Banks – $2,914.40
Karen Watkins – $2,282.95
Tarece Johnson – $1,518.61
For Dr. Johnson, the $1,518.61 she loaned her campaign on February 1 is exactly $100 more to the penny than the main expenses she would incur between March and the end of April. Surprisingly clever planning on her part. If someone figures this out please let me know.
Another disturbing note – about one third of Karen Watkins funding is coming from out of state, mostly from the radical areas of Portland, OR, Brooklyn, NY and California. What interest to these areas have in Gwinnett’s school children?
